Group supports cocoa farmers in Amansie West

The Amansie West District (CCP) Co-operative Cocoa Farmers and Marketing Union Ltd at Manso Antoakrom has presented some items worth GH¢25,000 to 3100 Cocoa Farmers in 47 communities in the district.

The items incorporated 50 Veronica buckets, 3100 hand sanitizers, 100 liquid soaps(small size), 36 gallons of liquid soaps(25litres) and 300 posters to educate the public.

Presenting the items to the farmers, president of the Union, Rev Thomas Oppong said the reason for making the farmers is to help reduce the risk of transmission of the Coronavirus.

The farmers and officers of health facilities in the district who received the items expressed gratitude to the farmers union and promised to use them for the purpose intended.

They respectively appealed to other stakeholders to emulate the same to help in the fight against the deadly COVID-19.
