Nii Ahele Nunoo l,Nkcsochene of Sowutuom,accompanied by other relevant sub chiefs met Dr Emmanuel Lamptey, Municipal Chief Executive of the municipality over the weekend to officially welcome him on behalf of Nii Osabu Akwei l and the good people of Sowutuom and also assure him and his officers of the unflinching support of the community towards their efforts to make the municipality a better place.

On his part, Dr Emmanuel Lamptey, the MCE of Ga Central Municipality returned the honor done him to the royal delegation and also expressed his heart felt gratitude to Nii Osabu Akwei l,Nii Ahele Nunoo l, and the good people of Sowutuom for their worm acceptance to Sowutuom.

The former residents’ association leader further emphasized that accentuation and decentralizing government policies for the assembly is his priority and called for a collective action by the people to make this achievable.

Dr Emmanuel Lamptey again indicated that almost all nine electoral areas of the municipality have serious socio economic challenges such as drainage, road, sanitation and descent jobs and hastened to add that, the assembly alone cannot solve these problems unless the paramountcy and people join forces to overcome them.

Again, the MCE pleaded with the chiefs to rally their members to support the assembly correct some necessary anomalies within the municipality.

Dr Emmanuel Lamptey also pleaded with the delegation to assist the assembly educate residents on the regular and faithful payment of property rates to enable the assembly raise adequate funds for their own development since government's support by way of common fund could do little.

Dr. Lamptey also took the opportunity to enlighten the delegation on government-world bank modern toilet facilities to augment government's efforts to abolish open defecation in the country and added that the assembly will punish persons who do not support the idea.
