Ga Central forms Taskforce on social distancing in markets

The Ga Central Municipal Assembly has constituted a task force to enforce the social distancing protocol in the market centres as part of efforts to control the spread of the COVID-19.

The taskforce consists of the personnel from the Assembly, Ghana Police Authority among others.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Emmanuel Lamptey revealed this when Ghanadistricts.com paid him a visit.

He explained that the task force was to ensure that the traders strictly complied with the social distancing directive of the president to control the spread of the virus.

Mr. Lamptey made mention of the reopening of the Anyaa Sowutum market stalls soon since it also helps generate internal revenue to the Assembly.

He said Authorities are working hard to fix all the necessary equipment especially the clinic to help the market women when it starts operations.
