In a media interview, Hon. Mohammed Bashiru Kamara, said the assembly is concerned about the welfare of residents who have had to take a longer route to the main road from Agape Maame Nkran and its environs, especially school children.
He said the culvert will serve a dual purpose where pedestrians and vehicles will use it to get to the adjoining communities.
Hon. Bashiru while touting the current government’s achievement went on to say that the project is an invention from the government to help resolve a pertinent concern. He said the Akufo Addo – Bawumia led government has been proactive when it comes to roads.
He cited the newly constructed bridge at Racecourse which has now brought relief to residents of Tabora, Racecourse and adjoining communities.
“The residents’ association have constantly been to my office to have this project done and I am happy that today we are here to witness the sod cutting for the project to begin”, he opined.
The Hon. MCE said, he is confident that the contractor will deliver and hand over the project before the six months estimated time of completion because he is reliable and has been adequately resourced.
