This follows the commissioning of a modern standard health centre in the community by Isaac Kwame Asiamah (MP) together with Williams Darko, District Chief Executive.
Mrs. Joyce Bannerman, the Public Health Nurse thanked the political heads for the great stride of expanding the health service to that community. She called on the traditional authorities to make sure the needed maintenance is provided to the facility.
She assured the gathering of posting staff to the facility within the shortest possible time for the smooth running of the place.
Nana Akwasi Gyamfi, the caretaker of the community was full of praise for the Member of Parliament and the DCE for making their dream a reality. He noted that, ever since Ghana subscribed to the multi-party democracy, it’s the NPP Government that has supported their cause in terms of Water, electricity, school blocks, teachers’ quarters, and now a health centre, and assured that they shall reward the government accordingly in 2020.
The organizer for the ruling party in the constituency, Bismark A. Boadi enumerated the achievements of the government in 3years. He beseeched the gathering to reward the NPP by voting massively for the incumbent MP and the vintage Akufo Addo in this year’s election.
Mr. Seth Akwasi Adu thanked the leading political duo for taking away some pressure from his shoulders. “This facility is going to serve the good people within this catchment area (Mpanwe, Botrampa and other satellite hamlets) from now till thy kingdom come”, he posited. He also pleaded for assistance from the Sports Minister for the completion of an ultra-Modern Community Centre which has been started by the community.
Mr. Darko on his part gave an account on his stewardship which was received with a thunderous clap which formed a crescendo in the sky. He noted that, but for the 537 communities in Atwima Mponua with meager resources, he was going to do more things if the district had fewer communities. He entreated parents to make good of the novel FSHS by encouraging their wards to learn their books seriously.
“My Government will not build Mortuaries but Health Facilities”, jabbed by the Member of Parliament. He mentioned that, since he assumed the reins of the Member of Parliament for Mponua, his sole priority is to serve the people.
He maintained that, he suffered at the hands of the NDC from 2009-16; because the Political heads at the time will not allow him to access his MPs Common fund. “But thank God through President Akufo Addo, I have lobbied for roads, electricity expansion to 87 communities, sinking of Boreholes and the building of an ultra-modern Youth Resource Centre in Nyinahin.
“Nananom that Centre of excellence has been penned to be the home grounds of King Faisal Football Club”, the Sports Minister hinted. “The developmental value chain of that facility is going to change the dynamics of the local economic development”, he added. Hon. Asiamah donated 10 LED street lights, 100 pieces of Energy Saving Bulbs, Nose Masks, and a Laptop to assist the Health Facility in their work.
