Ministry of Health okays Mponua nursing training college-Tanadumase
A team from the Ministry of Health led by the Acting Director of Nursing Training Institute Unit (NTIU) Mrs. Rebecca Akorle visited Tanodumase to inspect the scope of work done at the Atwima Mponua Nursing Training School.

The institution, which is the first of its kind in the entire three Atwima Districts, was welcoming as the entire community and its catchment areas thronged to the school premises to meet the delegation and the team was very impressed with the level of work done at the campus for a new and a budding institute.
They inspected the 12-unit classroom block built by GNPC Foundation, A 6-Unit classroom block built by the District Assembly and the Member of Parliament, boys and Girls hostel facilities built by the Middle
Belt Development Authority (MBDA) and the 8 bedroom Principal and staff Banglows which was given freely by Nana Agyare Boateng, the Chief of Tanodumase as his quota for the novelty.
Nana Agyare Boateng, expressed his joy for putting his community and its catchment areas on the spotlight of academic institutions. He vowed to assist and release more lands for expansion in addition to the 24 acre land already under development.
Mr. Isaac Kwame Asiamah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, noted that, the decision to site the school was to bring development to all communities in Atwima Mponua and was of the view that, the strategic siting of this novel educational complex was to get those communities vibrant and ready for development.
He noted that it's been sleepless night ever since he conceived that epoch idea. He thanked all for making it a reality and stated that he will lobby for more infrastructure, vehicles and also most importantly the auxiliary staff to be recruited from Atwima Mponua for employment creation.
Mr. Akwasi Twumasi, former NDC Chairman, was full of praise for the Member of Parliament for putting Mponua first and not his interest and advised all to utilize the institution for knowledge acquisition and local economic development.
He presented 2 students who are all from Agogoso to be enrolled into the school as the pioneers, whose application has been accepted by the Acting Director of Nursing Institution, Mrs. Rebecca Akorlie.
Mr. Isaac Kofi Marfo, the District Chief Executive (DCE) promised to speed up development and other Infrastructure to complement the existing ones. He charged the contractor to expedite action on the other buildings for smooth take off.
The team however asked the MP and the DCE to complete the library, ICT, skills Centre, furniture for the classrooms and kitchen for the commencement of operations and admission for 2022/23 academic year.
The team included Emmanuel Adom Gyimah, Estate Manager and Ebenezer Awuku, Regional Estate Manager from the Regional Health Directorate. Mrs. Mercy Belins Beyuo Principal Ear, Nose and Throat Nursing School in Kumasi, Dr. Jojo Cobinnah District Director Ghana Health Service (GHS).
Others are Mrs. Patience Manyo Entsie DDNS-Public Health Nursing School, Korle Bu, and Mrs. Emily Appiah, Quality Assurance (Health Training Institute Unit) Ministry of Health, Emmanuel Hemans Administrative Manager (HTIU-MoH).
The Assembly delegation was led by Isaac Kofi Marfo-DCE, Jephthah Kwane Sarfo-ISD Hon. Bismark Obuobi, William Owusu Boateng-GIADEC, and Henry Osei Boateng-GES.
