NHIS inaugurates new office at Nyinahin
The National Health Insurance Authority marked a significant milestone on May 3rd, 2024, with the inauguration of its ultramodern office in Nyinahin, located within the Atwima Mponua District.

The commissioning of this impressive edifice was attended by esteemed representatives of the organization, as well as distinguished guests from the local community.
Nana Oti Boadua, the Akwamuhene of Nyinahin Traditional Council, in his address expressed gratitude to the National Health Insurance Authority for establishing an office that truly serves the purpose of ensuring effective health delivery within the district.
He particularly commended Isaac Asiamah and Isaac Kofi Marfo, the Member of Parliament, and the District Chief Executive respectively, for their diligent lobbying efforts which facilitated the swift completion of the project.
Hon. Kofi Marfo, the District Chief Executive, reiterated the commitment of the New Patriotic Party to the well-being of the Atwima Mponua District.
He emphasized the party's dedication to executing numerous development projects across all 573 communities within the district. Furthermore, he urged the gathered crowd to disregard the propaganda being disseminated by the opposition party, emphasizing that they have nothing substantive to offer the good people of Mponua.
Hon. Bismark Agyei Boadi, the Special Assistant to Hon. Isaac Asiamah, highlighted the importance of a culture of maintenance in ensuring the longevity and functionality of the newly commissioned office. He urged the authorities to prioritize the employment of indigenous individuals from Mponua to address any staffing shortages and foster a sense of ownership and community involvement.
Mrs. Louisa Atta Agyemang, the Deputy CEO in charge of operations, reaffirmed the National Health Insurance Authority's commitment to making healthcare accessible to all residents. She disclosed plans to expand the scope of coverage to include diseases such as cancers and dialysis, which were previously not covered.
Additionally, she emphasized the illegality of health facilities charging fees to clients with valid NHIS cards, warning of sanctions for non-compliance.
The inauguration of the ultramodern office marks a significant step forward in the provision of healthcare services within the Atwima Mponua District, reflecting the collective efforts of the National Health Insurance Authority and its stakeholders in advancing the well-being of the community.
