The facility, which will also be furnished with beds by the Foundation, is expected to augment the school’s inadequate infrastructural base and improve on overall academic experience.

At the short handing over ceremony, the Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation, Dr. Dominic Eduah, stressed that education remains the bedrock of Ghana’s development and assured that his outfit would continue to aid schools and educational institutions in need of support across the country.

He said it is GNPC’s expectation that the facility is managed under the best care to ensure they serve its intended purpose and longevity.

Mrs. Francisca Biney, the Headmistress of the school recounted the pressure put on existing facilities by the increase in enrolment numbers and thus the timeliness of the project’s completion.

She urged GNPC Foundation to sustain its support to the school as they look to add on to their infrastructure base with a classroom block, Library and a dining hall.

She further called on other corporate bodies to emulate the interventions of GNPC in the educational sector and beyond.

The Paramount Chief of the Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Area, and President of the National House of Chiefs, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II paid glowing tribute to the Board and Management of GNPC for the Corporation’s leadership role in the Corporate Social Responsibility space in Ghana; bringing relief to individuals, communities and institutions through targeted capacity building and infrastructural investments.
