Sefwi Bekwai SHS gets infrastructure boost

Three new infrastructure projects have added to the Sefwi Bekwai Senior High School to deal with infrastructure deficit of the school.

The Western North Region Minister, Kingsley Aboagye Gyedu took a tour of the school and commissioned these projects including a 6-unit-classroom block, Boys dormitory and an ultra-modern 10-seater toilet facility under the one constituency, one million projects policy through the Ministry of Special Development Initiatives.

The developments were form part the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication programme (IPEP).

The Minister who interacted with the students admonished them to take advantage of the government numerous flagship programmes such as Free SHS and several others to study very hard to attain a good grades after SHS in order to qualify them for the government scholarship for tertiary students.

He revealed that, over 89 brilliant students within the Bibiani Municipality have benefited from the government scholarship programme for 2019/2020 academic year which clearly shows that, the NPP government have lessen the burdens of many parents and guardians of which the money meant for school fees can be equally be used for another project.



On his part, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipal Assembly, Mr. Alfred Amoah, commended the Akufo Addo led administration for several allocations of projects into the Bibiani Municipality through the hard working member of parliament.

He mentioned for instance, Mechanized boreholes, Market, Nursing training, supply of medical equipment to Bibiani government hospital theatre, one ware at sefwi Bekwai among others.

Madam Gloria Gontor, Head Mistress of Sefwi Bekwai Senior High School (SEBESS), on the other hand commended government, MP and the MCE for their collaborative performance within their short period in power.

She pledged to ensure regular maintenance of the facilities so as to serve the purpose of which it was established.
