The engagement which aimed to equip First-Time Voters to achieve free, fair, accountable, transparent, and inclusive electoral process in the 2024 General Elections dubbed "Youth Voice" Activating First-Time Voters for Ghana's General Elections brought together over 5,000 students from the two schools.

Mr. Bright Ayivi, the Assistant Programme Officer of Ghana Integrity Initiative (Gll), encouraged the students to actively participate in the upcoming 2024 general elections devoid of corruption since voting is a vital part of the democratic process and that every vote has the potential to bring about change.

He tasked the First-Time Voters not to allow them to be influenced by any political party leaders but rather vote with integrity to ensure the right people are elected into office.

Mr. Prince Amoako Baah, Electoral Commission Officer of the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipal Assembly, took the students through the electoral process, particularly when voting starts and ends, the importance of voting, teach them how to vote in order to reduce rejected and spoilt ballots.

He admonished them to vote based on critical issues on December 7 to ensure resources are equitably distributed accordingly.

Mr. Amoako urged the First-Time time Voters to vote based on policies and development such as health care, education, infrastructure development, and graduates unemployment, since voting is their civil responsibility, they shouldn't receive any gift politicians to change their voting decisions.
