New Juaben North Municipal Assembly distributes palm seedlings to farmers
Farmers in the New Juaben North Municipality have benefited from the distribution of Forty - Five thousand of Palm seedlings.

The Member of Parliament for New Juaben North Constituency and the Deputy Local Governments Minister, Hon. Nana Kwasi Adjei Boateng said Government has introduced seven types of cash crops to help boost Agricultural Business and Farm activities in the country.
The Member of Parliament urged farmers to cultivate other crops such as cashew, mango, and other seedlings to enable the Agricultural Business to grow.
He added that the Government has good initiative plans for the growth of Agriculture in Ghana. The Hon. Minister, donated a box of cutlasses and nose marks to support them.
The Municipal Chief Executive for New Juaben North Municipal Assembly, Hon. Comfort Asante, said Planting for Food and Jobs and the Planting for Export and Rural Development initiative program have played important roles in the Agricultural Sector.
Madam Comfort Asante stressed that farmers should be serious in their farming activities to enable the Government to do more for them. She disclosed that the third face will come off at Suhyen Mpaem.
The Municipal Agriculture Director, Mr. Courage Narh, said the distribution of Palm seedlings also forms part of the Government’s planting for the Export and Rural Development Program which is to ensure local economic development in the country.
Mr. Courage Narh added that there were Sixteen Thousand (16,000) seedlings distributed to Eighty - Four (84) Farmers in the Municipality last year. He again made mention of the Forty- Five Thousand seedlings which are yet to be distributed and also form part of the second phase of the Development program in the Municipality which is to help the 1 District, One Factory program laid down by the Government.
Stephen Osei Appiah, A farmer in the Municipality, also thanked the Government for giving them such free seedlings to be planted in their farms.
He encouraged the farmers to plant the seedlings to yield income for themselves and the country as a whole.
Some of the farmers who benefited from the Palm Seedlings were from Abomosu, Jumapo, Asikasu, Suhyen, Effiduase, Akwadum, Asokore, Dabi Asem, and Oyoko.
