MCE tours Voters’ Registration Centres in Lawra

Mr. Martin Bomba-ire, Municipal Chief EXcutive of Lawra Assembly has toured all the nine (9) Electoral Commission's registration centers within his municipality to observe the ongoing registration exercise.

The registration exercise started on June 30, 2020 in phases with nine (9) polling centers constituting the first phase of the exercise.

The centres include

1. Lawra old council No. 1

2. Lawra Commercial bank

3. Lawra Newtown

4. Lawra Senior high school

5. Lawra Tovouri (New) polling station

6. Lawra old Council No. 2

7. Lawra Daily market

8. Lawra old Council No. 3

9. Yippee

The exercise was generally smooth and peaceful with most of the COVID-19 protocols being duly observed except some places where there were some issues with social distancing due to the huge number of people queuing to register.

The MCE's team includes the Municipal Coording Director, Mr Mohammed Majeed, the PRO of GES Lawra, the Municipal Development Planner, Mr Hafiz Nasagla, the Regional Director of GSFP, Madam Diana Puopelle and the municipal YEA director.
