Ga South Assembly inaugurated
The Ga South Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region has inaugurated its new office complex in line with the thirty-eight newly created district assemblies across the country.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Dr Nana Ato Arthur, the guest of honor, expressed appreciation to the President of the Republic Of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo for the creation and elevation of the thirty-eight new Assemblies.
He further indicated that, key staff have been set out by the Office of the Head of the Local Government Service (OHLGS) to these new Assemblies for work to begin as soon as possible.
Dr. Nana Ato Arthur said the human resource needs of the new Assemblies will be addressed with a sense of urgency to facilitate execution of their mandates.
The Head of Service Dr Ato Arthur recap the concept of “Performance Contracts will be signed between Chief Executives and their Coordinating Directors and mentioned the following innovations (Sanitation & Innovation, ICT & Innovation, Workplace environment & Innovation and Local Economic Development & Innovation) as additions to the key performance areas of the contract.” He noted.
He urged residents of the municipality to pay their property rates to enable smooth performance of the Assembly.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Joseph Stephen Nyarni on his part, thanked all sundry for making this remarkable day a reality and also tasked the staff to go extra mile in their performance.
Notable personalities present at the function were the Member of Parliament for Bortianor-Ngleshie-Amanfro, Mr Alhaji Habib Saad; the Presiding Member, Patrick Baidoo; the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr Emmauel Baisey; Chiefs, Religious Leaders and staff of Ga South Municipal Assembly.
