Kokrobitey Assemblyman calls for improvement of roads to boost tourism

Kokrobitey is well known for its coastal tourism destinations for both foreign and domestic holiday makers as it provides a good environment for relaxation and merry making.

This, thus provides revenue generating opportunities for the indigene and the government.However, Mr Rockson Nii Saka Allotey, the Assemblyman for Kokrobitey Electoral Area in the Ga South Municipality has bemoaned the poor state of the road network from old barrier that led to the area affecting the free flow of traffic for residents as well as those patronizing the beaches.

In an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, Mr Saka Allotey disclosed that those in authority have paid a visit to have firsthand information yet nothing has been donel. ‘’This has been a major challenge affecting livelihoods’’ he stated.

The Assemblyman who has had his two terms in office touted some of his achievements saying he has facilitated the construction of a beautiful health facility at Oshiyie through the help of the Chiefs and Elders which is serving the people.

‘’Through my lobby, the extension of the water system in Kokrobitey which wasn’t pleasant previously has been worked on and there’s free flow of water currently. As I speak Kokrobitey MA is enjoying water flow through the support of the Adontehene.’’

On education, he said land was secured with the support of the Chiefs and a classroom block is nearing completion on it. A budget has been approved by the Assembly for a construction of another classroom block to augment learning in the community next year. Again through his effort, an uncompleted classroom block at Langma has been completed.

Mr Nii Saka Allotey who is seeking reelection is urging all sundry not to be partisan, instead come together and vote for him for continuity of development.
