The Ga West Municipal Assembly has vowed to reduce revenue leakages in any form by putting certain measures in place to help champion this agenda.
In this vein the Assembly has outsourced a private company, REVSOL to make sure rates of property and business operating permits were collected on behalf of the Assembly from institutions and households within the Municipality.
Mr. Sam Atukwei Quaye, Municipal Chief Executive for the Ga West Assembly, who revealed this during the Assembly’s General Meeting held recently, said more development projects could be initiated should all those revenue challenges be rectified.
He said the budget and rating unit is working to ensure that all revenue due the assembly is collected including working hand in hand with REVSOL to realize their revenue targets.
Currently property rates for Trobu constituency has 12,180 bills printed whose value is about GHs1, 962, 161.17 whereas that of Amasaman constituency has a total bill of 15,980 whose value amounts to GHs329, 667.16.
The business operating permit has 5,643 bills whose value amounts to GHs664, 419.50.
“It is anticipated that we will put our hands on deck to help collect the needed revenue due to the Assembly for the overall development of the municipality,” the MCE added.
