The International Central Gospel Church (Tantra Hill branch) has inaugurated a borehole for the community to help curb the water problem people face.
Prophet Fredrick Darko Ashong, Pastor in charge, said it was the churchs corporate responsibility to help the community since some of the members of the church were residents of the community
He said the cost of the borehole was GH¢ 10, 000,000, was to be used free of charge and that its maintenance would come from funds raised in the church.
Prophet Ashong said one way churches could reach out to people and minister to them, was through the provision of their needs.
Ms Gladys Darkowaa and Mrs. Benedicta Addison, who reside in the community, expressed their gratitude to the church for helping them overcome the greatest challenge in the community.
They told the GNA that they would ensure the facility was handled well to prevent damages and also to prevent the church from spending more money into repairing it.
Prophet Ashong said the church had opened an account for widows, orphans and the needy who are members of the church and that the account was created to help raise funds for them.
