KADJEBI:DCE calls for collaboration for development

The Kadjebi District Chief Executive, Jacob Alebinde Asogonnde has called on traditional authorities and opinion leaders in the various communities in the district to collaborate with the district for development.

The Kadjebi District Chief Executive, Jacob Alebinde Asogonnde has called on traditional authorities and opinion leaders in the various communities in the district to collaborate with the district for development.

He said there was the need for traditional authorities to play their roles as agents of development to augment efforts of the government and the district assembly to achieve the desired quest for growth and development of the area.

The DCE who made the call during a familiarization tour of all the traditional areas including Kadjebi, Asato, Dodi, Ahamansu, Dodo and Amanta Traditional areas also took time to answer questions from the people and inform them of the development plan of the assembly.

He did not mince words in asking the traditional and opinion leaders to adhere to sustainable environmental practices so that future generations can have the same natural resources like fresh water devoid of pollutants, timber, soils that supports plant growth, clean air free of smoke from annual bush fires. He also raised concerns about how some people still litter the environment with plastics and other non-degradable substances in spite of waste bin that are placed at vantage places in the district.

Mr. Asogonnde reminded his people to be law abiding and be patriotic, adding that a patriotic Ghanaian will discourage bush burning, smuggling and destruction of state property and the likes. He asked the youth to be respectful, work hard and remain positive as they strategize to improve their lots.

Meanwhile, the DCE has urged civil servants especially those at the assembly to work harder and also endorse good practices so as to move the district forward. He said good governance, innovative leadership and selflessness is what he brings to the table hence the need for all to join hands for this worthy cause.
