The Kwahu West Municipal Assembly has provided new school infrastructure for St. Michael and Oframase Pesbyterian Primary Schools.

Each of the schools has been provided with 3-unit classroom block, office and store. The new structure is to replace the old dilapidated structure the students were using.

Commissioning the projects, the Eastern Regional Minister, Helen Adjoa Ntoso mentioned that the school block was in line with the NDC Government’s promise to remove all schools under trees. She also reiterated the commitment of government towards improving education in the country both in terms of infrastructure and quality of education adding that a number of measures are being instituted to achieve these things.

The Minister also reminded the teachers of their role in molding the students into responsible adults that would be of benefit to the country and themselves, and urged school authorities to ensure they maintain the structure well to stand the test of time to serve its purpose to the students.

The Municipal Chief Executive Alex Somuah Obeng also stated that, the assembly would continue to intervene in improving infrastructure in the various schools to augment government’s efforts, adding that a number of such projects are in the pipeline for execution.
He appealed to parents to be concerned about the education of their children and invest time and resources to ensure they attain the best level in education.
