The Kwahu West Municipal Assembly has completed a 3-unit classroom block for the Jamasi No 1 M/ A Junior High School (JHS) at a cost of 5,500.00 Ghana Cedis.
The project which was funded under the District Development Fund commenced in December 2009, and was completed in October 2013. It has facilities such as an office, store, staff common room and a urinal.
Commissioning it, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Hon Obeng Somuah noted that the project which was completed on schedule forms part of the campaign pledge of the government to invest in the development of the people through quality education and further advised students to learn hard to make the project a blessing to all.
He urged the Assemblyman of the area and the school’s headmaster to monitor the project and keep the Assembly informed if any fault was detected within 6 months for the contractor to fix it.
The Odikro of Jamasi No 1, commended the President and the Assembly for being development-oriented, adding that the Jamasi No1 township had been neglected in terms of development.
He called on school authorities to monitor and report the conduct of students to their parents, especially when they absented themselves from school so that the investments made by parents would not go to waste.
