The Bongo district assembly is worried that amidst the heavy investment being made towards the promotion of quality education for school children in the area, performance of their BECE results still takes a nose dive.

The Bongo district assembly is worried that amidst the heavy investment being made towards the promotion of quality education for school children in the area, performance of their BECE results still takes a nose dive.

The District Chief Executive for the assembly, Alexis Ayamdor Adugdaa disclosed that much cannot be shown in terms of better performances of the students to correspond the kind of investment being made in education. 

Following this, the assembly is thus revising plans and measures to effectively place high premium on monitoring and supervision in order to salvage the falling standard of education in the district. 

This came up during the second ordinary meeting of the Bongo district assembly.

The DCE also cited the upsurge of teenage pregnancy as one of the worrying social vices in the basic schools, adding that the records of such incidence were alarming therefore calling on assembly members to deepen education on the ramifications of the problem to individuals, the family and society at large.
