BONGO:DCE lauds assembly’s performance in FOAT assessment

The Bongo District Assembly has demonstrated its commitment to welcome diversified means of getting more revenue to undertake massive development projects for residents.
The Assembly during the 2012 preliminary FOAT assessment managed to clock 91% and subsequently hopes to strategize more to qualify for this year’s Functional Organizational Assessment Tool(FOAT) so it could accrue the benefit thereof under the DDF to enable them carry out various infrastructure projects.
The District Chief Executive, Alexis Ayamdor Adugdaa in his maiden address to the assembly during a recent sitting congratulated them for a good work done, urging them to co-operate and put up their best so they can push development on a high pedestal in the district.
“It is my hope that you will all bring your experiences and expertise to bear on the work of the Assembly so that together we can create a positive environment in our district by promoting a balanced approach to community development” he advised.
He thus commended them for the unity of purpose exhibited during the election of the Hon. Presiding Member, and asked them to eschew rancor, acrimony, animosity, bad blood and all tendencies that tend to divide them.
He conceded that the task ahead was enormous but exhorted them to come together as one force to confront the myriads of challenges which are however not insurmountable.
