The new District Chief Executive for the Kassena Nankana West District Assembly, George Nonterah says almost all the roads linking the Eastern part of the district like Sirigu, Mirigu and Kanbiga amongst others are in deplorable conditions and must be upgraded.

He said the condition of these roads which are left bumpy and eroded completely worsen in the rainy seasons, a situation whereby residents are ostensibly cut-off as a result of the difficulty for drivers to ply the roads in these areas.

Interacting with Ghanadistricts.com, the DCE noted that this remains a major concern to him, assuring that he would liaise with the Department of Feeder Roads, Ministry of Roads and Highways and other stakeholders to improve the state of the road network.

He reiterated that the assembly is there to promote meaningful development in all sectors in the local areas and will not relent in working hard to find ways of mitigating the social challenges and plights of the people.

He said he would continue to knock on the doors of these sector agencies to make sure that the district is supported in the improvement of its roads across-board.
