The Member of Parliament for Lawra constituency, Hon. Abu Samson with support from the Ghana Investment Funds for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) has resolved to donate some desktop computers to two Senior High Schools(SHS) in the Lawra district.

A total number of 30 sets of computer with accessories have been procured to be distributed to beneficiary schools considered under this move by the MP, including Lawra SHS and Brefo Community SHS respectively.

Elaborating on this move, Hon. Abu Samson indicated that ICT remains important trend and a compelling tool in the growth and development of society, therefore one cannot do away with the evolution of ICT in this contemporary world.

Thus he said, it was important to encourage it at the young stages so it could sustain the interest of the youth for them to build upon it.

He intimated that it was against this backdrop that he decided to team up with GIFEC to promote the learning of ICT in schools through the provision of computers that could aid them improve their skills in ICT.

He claimed the computers are ready and all things being equal it will be distributed to the beneficiary schools soon.
