The District Chief Executive for Kwabre East, Adams Iddisah has bemoaned the state of the fire service tender in the district describing it as in a sorrowful state.

He said the tender had been out of service since July 2012 whiles expressing optimism that the numerous fires that gutted most homes in the district especially at Mamponteng and Achiase could have been prevented.

Hon. Iddisah made these remarks when he presented his sessional address during the opening of the first ordinary meeting of the third session of the Assembly held at Mamponteng.

The DCE used the opportunity to brief the members on performance of the assembly in terms of education, health, agriculture, finance, sanitation, roads and electrification.
