The DCE for Sene, Dominic Napare says the Basic Certificate Examination results for people in his district have greatly improved due to prudent educational policies taken by the assembly.
According to him, results for pupils who sat for the exams prior to his assumption of office were not the best and kept declining by the year prompting immediate attention.
As part of measures to improve the educational standard in the district, the assembly embarked on a massive educational infrastructure develpoment to boost interest in education and to make necessary learning materials readily available for pupils.
He said the assembly has distributed over 2000 pieces of furniture for the schools in the area and is still giving out school uniforms and other logistics to enhance teaching and learning in the district.
Mr Napare indicated that the assembly is also putting measures in place to provide accommodation for teachers who are posted to the district.
