SENE : Assembly fetes school children
The Sene District Assembly in conjunction with the District Directorate of Education have organised "My Firts Day at School ceremonies in all the eighty-four (84) Primary Schools in the district.

The Sene District Assembly in conjunction with the District Directorate of Education have organised "My Firts Day at School ceremonies in all the eighty-four (84) Primary Schools in the district.
The move is to attract and motivate children to attend school regularly.
A team comprising of Hon. Dominic Napare, the District Chief Executive(DCE) , Mr. Banye Vincent , the Deputy District Co-ordinating Director, Hon Jones Nsiah-Abronye, Presiding Member, Mr. Williams Xetor, District Director of Education and some supporting staff and the Sene Constituency Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress visited various primary schools.
The schools include Dwankrom Presbyterian Primary School, Menkor D/A Primary, Lassi D/A Primary, Akyeremade R/C Primary and Akyeremade Battor D/A Primary School.
The DCE and his entourage interacted with the teachers, parents, pupils and Opinion Leaders.
Parents and Opinion Leaders were urged to encourage their wards to attend school regularly as well as monitor their academic progress.
This, according to the DCE would give impetus to the efforts the government is making to enhance educational development in the district in particular and the country in general.
Hon. Napare stated emphatically that the government is not going to pay mere lip service to its campaign promises.
He outlined the implementation status of some of the government initiatives in the educational sector such as the classroom/dormitory expansion, the elimination of schools under trees and the free exercise books and uniform programmes.
To immortalize the day in the minds of the new entrants, kalypo fruit drinks and cups were distributed to them in the five schools the DCE visited. Other officers of the District Education Directorate went to the remaining 79 primary schools for the ceremony and also distributed kalypo drinks and cups.
The occasion was also used to distribute 842 uniforms to the pupils in those the five schools visited.
The uniforms were distributed as follows; Dwankrom Presbyterian Primary School had 193, Menkor D/A Primary School had 165, Lassi D/A Primary School had 258,
Akyeremade R/C Primary School had 143 Akyeremade Battor D/A Primary School, 83.
