PwD in Kwahu Afram Plains provided with machines to work-DCE
The District Chief Executive of the Kwahu Afram Plains District, Samuel Ohene Kena had revealed that persons with disability have been provided with equipment to enable them work and fend for themselves.

According to the DCE at Donkorkrom, equipment worth ninety thousand Ghana cedis (GHc 90,000) were given out including photocopiers, sewing machines, refrigerators and machines for grinding cassava and pepper so that persons with disabilities would work and not become a burden on their families.
He indicated that since coming into office, the ruling New Patriotic Party government released funds for persons with disability that had piled up for use to provide equipment that would improve the well-being of persons with disability.
And assured that persons with disability who have not yet been provided with their machines should rest assured that, next year they would have their turn.
He made this remarks at a day’s sensitization durbar against child labour and human trafficking at Bridge Ano.
Mr. Samuel Ohene Kena added that government had gotten the District its share of development, when it comes to planting for food and jobs.
“We have our fertilizers, seedlings of maize and pepper which had been distributed to farmers for free”, he added.
On planting for export and rural development, the District Chief Executive (DCE) indicated that the District is targeting cashew nut and mango, but the focus had been on cashew with the provision of eighty thousand seedlings which had been distributed left with some few.
And added that next year, one hundred thousand seedlings would be provided and urged schools to get involve and not leave the process for only farmers so that at the end of the day mother Ghana would be the beneficiary.
