The presentation, according to Honourable Member of Parliament follows a series of calls from indigenes of her constituency on how the lockdown in Accra is really affecting them. Greater Accra has become, virtually, the main region where the country has recorded more confirmed COVID-19 cases.

Hon. Betty then identified petty traders from her constituency which included, bread sellers, dressmakers, beauticians, ice water among others who have to struggle daily before getting their daily bread.

The items presented were bags of rice, cooking oil, tin tomatoes, hand sanitizers and some amount of money to the indigene who are suffering due to the lockdown in the region. This humanitarian gesture, also, follows her contributions towards the constituency after donating Veronica buckets, etc.

Hon. Betty Krosbi Mensah used the opportunity to educate the recipient of the items on the COVID-19 and how to protect themselves. She urged them to take very good care of themselves and also stick to the social distancing and other protocols as directed by Ghana Health Service and public health personnel.
