GIFEC begins 10-day ICT training in Bekwai

The Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication (GIFEC), together with their partners, International Telecommunications Union (ITU) has organized 10-day training for some entrepreneurs and students in the Bekwai Municipality.

The main objective of the training is to expand the digital capabilities and benefits of ICT to the marginalized population in the country.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr. Kwaku Kyei Baffour urged all participants to develop passion in learning ICT since it is gradually becoming the driving force of the country’s economy and encouraged them to persevere in their entire Endeavour to attain success.

The Ashanti Regional Zonal Co-coordinator of GIFEC Mr. Andrew Akiti also added that even though certificates will be given to participants at the end of the training, they are going to be assessed to obtain the certificate on merit.

He then urged all participants to be punctual and regular throughout the period of the training and be very attentive when training is in session in order to pass the exams.
