The project, which forms part of the Assembly’s efforts to improve the local road network, is expected to address deteriorated roads and make movement of people, goods and services easier, particularly in communities where poor road conditions have affected transportation.

The reshaping exercise is also expected to improve access to farms, schools, health facilities, markets and other essential services, while supporting economic activities within the municipality.

The initiative comes at a time when several rural and feeder roads require attention, especially during the rainy season when poor drainage and erosion can make some routes difficult to use.

The Assembly is expected to work with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the roads are properly reshaped and maintained to extend their lifespan and provide lasting benefits to residents.

The project is part of broader efforts by the Bekwai Municipal Assembly to improve infrastructure and create a more efficient road network capable of supporting the socio-economic development of the municipality.
