Bekwai confirms Kwaku Kyei Baffour as MCE

The President’s nominee for the position of Municipal Chief Executive for the Bekwai Municipal Assembly, Mr. Kwaku Kyei Baffour has been confirmed by the Assembly Members in the Municipality.

He polled thirty-two (32) YES votes as against Fifteen (15) No votes and One (1) rejected ballot, out of Forty-Eight (48) members present and voting, representing 66% of the valid vote cast.

Mr. Kyei Baffour thanked the President for the confidence reposed in him and promised to work diligently to justify his re-nomination.

He also thanked the Assembly Members for the trust reposed in him and asked for their support to move the Municipality forward.

Some dignitaries that graced the occasion were Bekwai manhene, Nana Osei Kwadwo Ababio, Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr.Simon Osei Mensah, the Member of Parliament for Bekwai Constituency, Mr. Joseph Osei-Wusu and Mr. Emmanuel Akwasi Gyamfi Member of Parliament for Amansie Central, Jacobu.

Others included, Mr. Eric Kwaku Kusi, DCE for Fomena, Mr.Samuel Addai Agyekum, DCE for Sekyere Kumawu, Mr.Alexander Frimpong, Asante-Akim South DCE, Mr. Joseph Kwasi Asuming, Bosomtwe DCE and others.
