The MCE made this statement during a sod-cutting ceremony for work to commence on an ultra-modern community clinic at Wiaboman, a community in the municipality.
The project is expected to be completed within 12 months.
Addressing a gathering, Mr Brako Kumor noted that the project, when completed will help bring quality health care to the door steps of the over 3,500 residents of the community. The move, he said will help mitigate their challenge of having to travel long distance in order to access quality health care.
He therefore appealed to the contractor to expedite work on the project and also called on residents to give their maximum support to the contractor to enable him finish the project on time and hand over for use.
Assembly member for the area, Mr Clement Adjei, on his part lauded the Assembly and described the project as very timely.
He also seized the opportunity to appeal to the Assembly for potable water supply for the community to help control the frequent outbreak of water-borne diseases in the area.
Meanwhile, the Assembly will soon commence work on a new school block to help improve education in the community.
