The initiative, implemented through a partnership between the Columbia Union Conference (USA), GAHS, and the medical team at SDA Valley View Hospital, aims to improve access to quality eye care services and restore sight to individuals suffering from various vision-related conditions.

Organisers of the programme say the project is not only restoring vision but also creating renewed opportunities for beneficiaries to improve their quality of life, regain independence, and contribute more actively to their families and communities.

In a statement, the Member of Parliament for Weija-Gbawe, Jerry Ahmed Shiab, noted that the partnership demonstrates the importance of collaboration in expanding access to specialised healthcare services and addressing preventable vision impairment.

He expressed optimism that the initiative would continue to bring hope and brighter futures to many more individuals and families as additional beneficiaries receive treatment in subsequent phases of the programme.
