GNFS to open new office at Hain
A team from the Upper West Regional and Municipal Fire Service Command has engaged Chiefs, Elders and Opinion Leaders from Hain Zone in the Jirapa Municipality to inspect some proposed structures for office and residential usage by staff of Ghana National Fire Service.

At the meeting, the Municipal Chief Executive, Nicholas Soyiri noted that, the good People of Hain application, requesting for official duty post of Fire Service was a decision in the right direction and must be given all the necessary attention, as distance and other factors played a major role in approving such requests.
He indicated the visit was to afford his office and personnel from Ghana National Fire Service, the opportunity to brief them on progress made so far about their request, inspect the already existing physical structures proposed by the Community and give official approval.
The Team was led by the Chiefs, Elders and Opinion Leaders for the inspection exercise.
After conducting the team round, the following recommendations were made; renovation of structures, relocation of some human activities around the proposed Fire Office, construction of a bridge in front of the Fire Office.
The MCE, Chiefs, Elders and Opinion leaders assured Ghana National Fire Service Command to as soon as possible complete works on the issues identified.
Divisional Officer Grade1, Eugene Asa-Gyekye the Deputy Regional Officer acting on behalf of the Regional Fire Commander announced that the request for a Fire Office at Hain was granted and their outfit were ready to post personnel as and when the works on the two structures were completed.
