Saabaalong youth embark on communal labour to fix road

Residents of Saabaalong and Tampaala communities in the Jirapa Municipality have organized a communal labour to fix a washed-away bridge on the Jirapa-Tampaala road, a road that interlinks the community in the municipality.

The said bridge was washed-away on 28th of April 2023 by a heavy rainfall accompanied with significant nimbostratus.

Some youth in the two communities have embarked on a series of communal labor to get that portion of the road they described as a death trap fixed.

The Assembly Member of the area together with his unit committee members were part of the initiative.

He donated 10 bags of cement in support of the communal project.

Mr. Cletus Seidu Dapilah also donated GHS1000.00 to support the work.

Mr. Blaise Samani who is the youth chairman thanked the Member of Parliament and the Assembly Member for their concern and also expressed worries over the nature of the collapsed bridge which joined the two communities and called on the Municipal Assembly to come to their aid.
