NJNMA holds capacity building workshop for staff

The New Juaben North Municipal Assembly held a one-day capacity building training for its staff to help promote professionalism and improve ethical standards in their field of work.

The Municipal Coordinating Director Mr. Alhaji Tijani asked the participants to take active part in the programme to help deliver in their line of duty.

He encouraged them to learn from their other work colleagues in other Assemblies to equip themselves as public sector worker.
The facilitator, Madam Nancy Okwan from the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council, first took the participants through the dynamics of Human Resource Management.


Under Human Resource Planning, the staffs were taken through succession planning, forecasting, Assessing of human Resource supply and Analysis of organizational plans and objectives and other topic like compensation and salary administration.

These involve the overview of labor law, 2003 (Act 651) and workman’s compensation law, 1987 (PNDCL 187).


The next presentation was on the Local Government Protocols by explaining the LOGO of the local government service what the symbols on the logo represent.


In all, about 39 staff took part in the workshop.

Present were the Human Resource Officer, Madam Grace Ohene and Madam Ghartery Victoria, the Assistance Director.
