Ghana Enterprise Agency organised training

The Ghana enterprise agency organized a training on the Ghana jobs and skills project under the You Start flagship programme. The programme is being financed by the World Bank seeking to support the government’s top priority agenda of upgrading skills amongst Ghanaians and aiding them in the startup of their various businesses.

Thirty five (35) youth from the New Juaben North municipality benefited from the programme.

Some of the beneficiaries were persons with disability, unemployed youth and existing MSME’s owned by school dropouts between the ages of 18 to 40 years.

The facilitator, Dr. James Osei Owusu said the programme aims to provide entrepreneurship training and competitive start-up grants to the youth who have the passion to start a business.

He went further by saying that the training has been split into three phases in order to provide quality learning experiences for the beneficiaries.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Madam Comfort Asante, was present at the training and encouraged the youth to take the training seriously and also went further to say that the private sector is the driving force of the economy, so empowering the youth to start up their own business is a good initiative and will help boost the economy of Ghana.

Present were the New Juaben North Municipal Director for Ghana Enterprise Agency, Madam Adelaide Morrison.
