Njnma holds general assembly meeting

The third ordinary meeting of the third session of the second General Assembly meeting of the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly took place at the Assembly Hall. The meeting brought together the Municipal Chief Executive, Municipal Coordinating Director, Chiefs, Presiding Member, Assembly Men and Women and Heads of Department.

In the welcome address, Hon.Presiding Member for New Juaben North Municipal Assembly, Hon. Dr .Edward Asante Antwi, thank the Assembly members and the staff of the Assembly for their hard work for the year and urge staff of the Assembly to approach the coming year with the same enthusiasm.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Comfort Asante, in her session addressed on security said the Municipality is relatively peaceful.

She said the sensitization programme on National security campaign on SEE SOMETHING SAY SOMETHING has been on going in the municipality.

Hon.Comfort Asante, in her address on health said, the municipality have held an orientation and induction ceremony for thirty (30) community health workers under the Youth and Employment Agency (YEA).

She said the construction of the Eastern Regional Hospital and the municipal hospital at Jumapo under the Agenda III by the central Government is ongoing steadily.

The chief executive also said the member of Parliament for New Juaben North Constituency, on Nana Adjei Boateng have donated dual desks, tables for teachers and chairs and four (4) boxes of information communication Technology (ICT) books to be distributed to the various schools in the municipality.
