Two contractors handed over projects to NJSMA

Two Contractors being KINGDWOSCO Construction Limited and JABORAH Construction Limited, have officially handed over their projects to management of the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly.

These completed projects were the Koforidua Apostolic and Pintoawala roads awarded to KINGDWOSCO Construction Limited, on other hand, the additional works on the Nsukwao Basin Drains of which JABORAH Construction Limited was charged to make stone linings and desilting at some area of the drains.

The handing over ceremony was done by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Isaac Appaw-Gyasi with a number of technocrats from the Assembly including the project Coordinator, Madam Iris Dalaba (Municipal Planning Officer), the Municipal Engineer, Mr. Takyi Sam among others on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. The Assembly also embarked on comprehensive monitoring of other projects undertaken in the Municipality to assess its speed and quality of work by the Contractors. They visited the Koforidua Jackson park redeveloping site for scrutiny.

All these projects: redevelop the phase two of Koforidua Jackson Park to befit its modern status and additional works; footbridges, stone lining, etc on the Nsukwao basin drains were under the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Program (GSCSP- UDG-1 and UDG-2) through the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development and funded by the World bank with SOMAN CONSULT, KINGDWOSCO Construction limited, Jaborah Construction Limited, K.B.A Construction Limited, M/S Eknka Enterprise Ltd and M/S Kaddacon Enterprise as Contractors for the projects.

After inspection and the handing over, Hon. Isaac Appaw-Gyasi commended the contractors on their good works and urged them to use the good works executed so far to complete other projects and on time.

MCE again lauded the project consultant (SOMAN CONSULT) in their sound supervision in making sure the projects are completed successfully.

Mr. Appaw-Gyasi then advised the Contractors to expedite action on the rest of the project so as to complete the project in the allotted time.
