TWIFO A M: Bridge over River Pra at Twifo Atti-Morkwa commences

Site for the construction of the Pra Bridge in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District was handed over on June 11, 2020 to the Company Director of Muhao Construction Limited, Mr. Wang Jin Jin.

The handing over was jointly carried out by Mr. Abraham Dwuma Odoom, Member of Parliament for Twifo Atti-Morkwa Constituency, and Mr. Robert Agyemang-Nyantakyi, District Chief Executive for Twifo Atti-Morkwa.

The MP and DCE both elaborated largely on how significant and critical the construction of the Twifo Praso-Dunkwa Bridge is to the people of Twifo, the communities, towns, and cities beyond that it serves.

They, therefore, requested from the contractor to fulfill this long-lived dream of all beneficiaries involved, especially, commuters from beyond the bridge.

Mr. Nyantakyi Baah, a Ghana Highways Authority representative as well as a representative for the Minister of Roads and Highways, Amoako Attah, also spoke on how his outfit had hard-pressed the construction agenda of the bridge. He added that the contractors had met all the requirements to commence work.

Mr. Wang agreed that the project had been long overdue as it was awarded in the last election year, 2016. He admitted that, amongst other challenges faced by the project, the major factor was the financing of the project which impaired the commencement of the project after they set up camp.

He also assured that he and his team would work tirelessly to achieve this goal, not forgetting to use some local content as he had already promised.
