He admitted that looking at the distance from the town to the hospital, the darkness on the road poses some threat to the citizenry when using the road hence the need to undertake a street lightening project along that stretch of the road.

According to the DCE they are collaborating with the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to have the project executed; and currently, the electricity poles have been erected awaiting cables and the rest.

The DCE was responding to an appeal from the Medical Administrator at the Twifo Atti Morkwa District Hospital Peter Teye Djamour for work to be accelerated on the project after an earlier promise from the Assembly.

The Medical Administrator said they are more concerned about the welfare of the staff and the public that patronize the facility especially at night as some unscrupulous persons could find that darkness a safe haven to attack people.

He was however delighted that the Assembly has shown interest in resolving the problem and expressed hope that it would be done soonest.
