The MCE presented a brand new Canon photocopier machine and a printer to the Lawra Municipal Health Administration.
The items which were donated by the former MP are in fulfillment of a request made by the health director last year, and were presented on the behalf of the former Member of Parliament.
The MCE in his address extended the former MP's appreciation to the directorate for their support during his tenure in office and says former MP says he is still a son of Lawra hence they shouldn't hesitate to contact him for any support they think he can provide.
The Bomba-ire said health has been one of the priority areas of Anthony Karbo and looking at his works so far, he has hugely invested share of his funds into the health sector and has also lobbied for some projects into the Municipality and some include the New Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for the Municipal Hospital, an emergency care unit, Clinic at Baapare, Biro, solar refrigerators for CHPS compounds, a 30 bed capacity ward for Babile Polyclinic, delivery and ward beds etc...
Receiving the items, the Municipal health director, Dr. Bernard Ziem said, the directorate has about 24 functional CHPS Zones with each monthly reports of not less than 20 coming inn from these zones. So it's sometimes very shameful to see a whole health administration competing with people at the commercial printing houses talk less of the cost involved.
Dr Ziem added that the request for these items were made to the then MP to help us and by his grace, though he's still not the office, he has honored his promise today.
He thank the former MP for all the supports rendered to him the directorate ranging from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Clinics, the logistics, the doctors etc to these items today.
