The gathering was held to inform the stakeholders about this impending activity in the municipality.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Kwaku Kyei Baffour in his opening remark said that, the construction of the railway line will create direct and indirect jobs in the affected towns.

He further said that, the project when completed will reduce road traffic, congestion and pollution on roads as the railway serves as an alternative means of transportation.

The delegation was made up of GRDA and SAL Consult members of staff.

Several concerns were raised by the chiefs, assembly members and heads of departments of the Assembly. The team vividly responded to all the concerns raised to the satisfaction of all.

The MCE in his closing remark thanked all participants for honouring his invitation. He encouraged them to co-operate with the project team for the benefit of the people in the affected towns. He further assured the team of his total commitment and co-operation.
