TWIFO A M: Local Council of Churches meet on data collection exercise
As part of the government’s agenda towards building a National Cathedral and ensuring a peaceful election, the Local Council of Churches (LCC) of the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District held a meeting at the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District Assembly Hall.

The meeting was graced with the presence of the District Chief Executive (DCE), Robert Agyemang-Nyantakyi, and the District Coordinating Director (DCD), Mr. Bernard K. P Sakyiama.
Mr. Robert Agyemang-Nyantakyi, DCE during his delivery, urged the gathering to continue to contribute their quota in ensuring development within the district and the nation at large. He advised the members of the council to keep inspiring their congregation to continue observing the laid down protocols, with respect to Covid-19 in order to eradicate it.
Lastly, he tasked them to keep being peace ambassadors in their various denominations and also inculcate the culture of peace within their congregations.
Apostle Kofi William, the Chairman for the LCC on his part disclosed that the meeting was to address the data collection exercise of all churches within the district, ensuring of 2020 peaceful election, contributing towards the National Cathedral and the observation of the Covid-19 protocols.
He added that it was intended that every church in Ghana would play a part in the construction of the National Cathedral by contributing financially to assist the Government in achieving this objective.
Apostle William further stated that every member of the Council was automatically an ambassador of peace and must, therefore, promote peace to counter violence in the upcoming General Election.
An open forum was allowed for members in the meeting to submit their contributions, suggestions, and questions for clarifications.
In his concluding remarks, the Hon. DCE commended the gathering for making time out of their busy schedules to attend such an august meeting.
He further informed the council that the Government had supplied some items such as Veronica Buckets, cartons of sanitizers and liquid soaps for distribution to the churches in the District to complement what they already had at their various churches.
