Huni-Valley to get ultra - modern market
The Municipal Chief Executive of Prestea Huni-Valley, Mr. Isaac Dasmani together with the immediate past Member of Parliament for the area, Lawyer Barbara Oteng - Gyasi has cut sod for construction work to begin on an ultramodern market center for the people of Huni-Valley, a community in the Prestea Huni Valley Municipality.

The project which is financed by the Minerals Development Fund (MDF) when completed will entail lockable shops, open stores, convenience areas, and access points for vehicles among others.
The former MP used the opportunity to reiterate the good works of the NPP Government in areas of infrastructural development which Huni Valley had benefitted from such as Railways development, Cottage industries (Gari and Oil Palm processing) under the industrialisation programme and Road construction comprising the Bogoso through to Huni-Valley road as well as the Huni-Valley Town roads.
Mrs Gyasi expressed her joy at the initiation of the project as it was a campaign promise to the market women and people of Huni-Valley which she had pursued to realization.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Isaac Dasmani in his address asked the community to give the needed support to the contractor to facilitate work on the project which would be undertaken in phases.
The Chief of Bosomtwe Divisional Area (Huni Valley) Nana Kwabena Amponsah IV, thanked Mr. Isaac Dasmani and Lawyer Barbara Oteng- Gyasi for their continuous support to the people of Huni-Valley and its environs and also advised the traders to ensure relocation to the new market when completed and not make any excuses which would derail the essence of the project.
The Market Queen, on her part expressed appreciation to the various stakeholders for making their dream of a new market possible.
