MCE joins Anglogold Ashanti to commission projects at Awudua

The Municipal Chief Executive of Prestea Huni-Valley last week joined the management of AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem Mine in Commissioning an Ultra-modern Hexagonal 6-unit classroom block, Staff common room, and store room for two communities.

The towns include; Awudua and New Tokunaso all within Prestea Huni-Valley Municipal.

In the same vein, The Municipal Chief executive Dr. Isaac Dasmani led ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI IDUAPRIEM in Commissioning another magnificent Community Center which also serves as an auditorium for the people of Awudua.

The edifice was named after the chief of Apinto Divisional stool, Nana Kobina Angu II.

Addressing the audience at the durbar, the MCE congratulated AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem and their sister company Goldfields Ghana Limited for their unflinching support in the field of infrastructure and provision of other assistance to their catchment communities within the municipality.

Dr Dasmani reiterated that he will collaborate with the Apinto Divisional Stool Council to lobby from his government to establish Apinto secondary school for the people of Awudua and its surrounding communities.

Nana Kobina Angu II, on his part, expressed great appreciation for the honour done him whiles he is still alive.

The MCE and his entourage being NADMO director Francis Abeiku Yankah, Research Officer Mr Yaw Owusu, Deputy Communication Officer Francis Johnfia Cudjoe among others inspected progress of work at Aboso AstroTurf.
