KRACHI W: Five pilot Mini-Grids constructed under GEDAP
The Deputy Minister of Energy in charge of Power, William Owuraku Aidoo has joined the World Bank to commission a 5 pilot Mini-Grid system at Aglakope in the Krachi West District.

The five pilot Mini-Grids constructed under Ghana - Energy Development and Access Project (GEDAP) will provide 24-hour electricity service to almost 3,500 population of people in island communities in some selected districts.
Among beneficiary communities include Aglakope in the Krachi West District, Kudorkope in the Krachi East District, Atigagome and Wayokope in the Sene East District of the Brong-Ahafo Region, and Pediatorkope in the Ada East District of the Greater Accra Region.
Mr. Owuraku Aidoo also paid a courtesy call on the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Krachi West, Douglas Osei-Nti at his office.
Welcoming the Deputy Minister, Hon. Osei-Nti thanked Mr. Aidoo for the visit, and briefed the delegation on the population distribution, sub-structure and socio-economic facilities in the district.
Other dignitaries present at the meeting were Mr. Wisdom Ahiataku–Togobo, Director in charge of Renewable & Alternative Energy at the Ministry of Energy and Shinya Nishimura, World Bank GEDAP task team leader.
