The DCE who was addressing assembly members at a meeting stated that improving the nature of their roads is relevant to enhance transportation and aid the growth and improvement of economic activities in the district.

He noted that the construction of the main road from Dambai to Kete-Krachi has helped to improve travelling on that road, however, issue of overloading and high lorry fair charges by drivers continue to raise their ugly heads, and needed to be addressed.

He has thus charged the Assembly and GPRTU to collaborate in finding solution to the problem.

According to him, the Ministry of Inner City and Zongo Development has come to assess some of the town roads for possible construction and when this happens will open the town and increase the economic activities in the town.

Meanwhile, he said the Assembly has been doing some works on selected roads to further open the district up. Among them include

1. Reshaping of Nkyenekyene junction to Ameyikope feeder road.
2. Reshaping of Ehiamankyene to Old Nketikwan feeder road.
3. Reshaping of Ehiamankyeneto Pechi Akura road.
4. Rehabilitation of Abujuro to Dadekro feeder road.
5. Rehabilitation of Kwakwae to Gyaesayor feedr road.
6. Rehabilitation of Nkyenekyene to Chantai feeder road.
