Roads in the district capital are in a deplorable state with a number of them full of potholes making commuting on them very stressful.

Most of these roads need to be tarred after filing the potholes to give them smooth surface for easy driving on.

The District Chief Executive of the area, Douglas Osei Nti said though he is trying all his possible best to solve the situation, he will need the help of the central government and cooperate bodies to carryout bitumen surfacing.

The situation has slowed down economic activities in the area since drivers find it difficult to drive and transport people and food stuff from one place to the other. Large amount of dust fill the air and the situation has worsened in this harmattan period.

The roads have not received any major rehabilitation works for decades now and are ridden with multiples of portholes and erosion on the roads during raining seasons.
