Krachi West appeals for electricity sub-station

Residents in the Krachi West District wants the Energy Ministry to intervene and help improve electricity supply to the district.

The Krachi West District Chief Executive, Douglas Osei Nti who made the call is urging the the Energy minister to come to their aid by providing them with an electricity sub-station.

According to him, the district gets its power supply from NEDCO under the Yendi Sub-station, however, due to the high load, the Krachi District continue to receive poor power supply, adding that all the neighbouring districts also depend on this same NEDCO under Yendi Sub-Station.

This have made individuals and companies who use electricity in their daily activities difficult to operate since the electricity power is always on a low current and sometimes no electricity at all.

He believes establishing a dedicated new substation purposely to service the district would be the best way out from the current low-voltage that has characterized their electricity supply.
